Hope you are doing fab and will a great weekend 🙂 I am here with another blog post related to how i store my makeup and some tips to DIY organize your storage. I wanted to do this kind of post for the longest time and when I learned about MakeSpace having a similar idea, I instantly wanted to post a blog related to my makeup storage area. If you do not know about Makespace, its an online self storage service provided located in a number of locations that picks up and stores your things for you until you have the space to store it again. I really loved this idea because at times you do not have space or you are about to shift and do not have much area to store your things before leaving to the new place and voila there you have Makespace to help you.
Now lets move forward with how I store my makeup and organize my vanity
a. Acrylic Makeup Organizers:
As the trend of these acrylic makeup organizers have evolved so have their prices too. I find them very pricey but they do look good so its okay to have one or two 😛 I recently got mine from a local shop in my country. You can also find these acrylic organizers on online face book pages which deal in makeup related items.
I love lipsticks, literally i am a lipstick hoarder and to keep my lipsticks in place i bought this acrylic organizer, i liked the fact that its compact and compresses my makeup into one place. Which means now i know where my particular lipstick or eyeliner is, best part is its sturdy and the smaller the items you keep the more space you have.
This specific organizer which I own have a total of 4 drawers and the upper area consist of 12 cubes for the lipsticks and few other compartments/sections to keep your different makeup items like shown in the closeup images below.
On the upper portion of the organizer I have kept eyeliners in one section, few everyday use items in another and concealers in one.
Another great idea is to keep your makeup items such as brushes, liquid lipsticks or eyeliners in a mug or pencil holders but make sure that they are cute and colorful according to your theme .
You can also spray paint them or use duck-tape to decorate and make it a DIY project.
3. Empty boxes:
This is the most common thing which you can do to keep your makeup in place and organize it. I die for chocolates and so I am left with lots of empty Ferrero Rocher see through containers, the good thing about these are that they look similar to the acrylic organizers and so give a nice look to your vanity.
I love keeping my nail polishes and the tools i used for nail art in these containers and also my jewelry.
You can always pump it up with decorating the box with duck-tape or self-adhesive diamante/pearls to give it a unique and DIY feel.
I have kept mine a bit simple
So here you have it, now you have seen my vanity space and how i organize my limited makeup storage area. Hope you liked these kind of posts let me know your thoughts in the comments below.
Sunglasses are an accessory which doesn’t go out of fashion in any way. People spend hours in selecting the best sunnies for themselves, which complement their face shape, eyes as well as taste. In Pakistan, you can find the latest trends in sunglasses from Tesoro Accessories, Haroon’s and Accessorize among other top brands!
With all that effort, no one would want their precious sunglasses to get dented or dirty as none are damage proof. But still a good pair of sunglasses has a lot of love and wear, which causes them to get spoiled. In order to avoid that people try to use different hacks. Most of the times these hacks end up damaging the sunglasses further or don’t give the desired results.
A most common hack even among those who were spectacles for sight impairment, they clean their dirty lenses through moistening lenses with their breath then wiping it off with lint cloth. This causes the dirt to further smear on the lenses and even scratch it.
Therefore, the article will focus on some tips and tricks in order to maintain your sunglasses and care for them after use. These tips may only require the basic things which people usually have laying around at their house, thus making them inexpensive as well as effective.
Protect your Lenses
After every use, always remember to put your sunglasses in a protective case, preferably a hard one. This may be a bit of a hassle when in hurry but it’s always better to be safe than sorry. These hard cases are great to protect your sunnies from breakage while buried inside your handbags. They also prevent contact of water, sand and dust. The only drawback is that these cases take a lot of space.
When cleaning your lenses, try to avoid using a lint cloth or a paper towel. This is because it leaves residues of lint and the wood content in the paper towel may cause scratching on the lenses.
Make good use of the small microfiber cleaning cloth which usually comes with the purchase of sunglasses. If not then do buy some to keep in your bag or pocket as they come in handy. They are the best for wiping off dirt and smudges off the lenses.
Never leave your sunglasses unattended on the floor, dinner table or even sofas where it is bound to break or get damaged.
Cleaning Of Your Sunglasses For Ladies
Proper cleaning process for sunglasses is actually quite hassle free and more effective contrary to popular belief. It can be done anywhere, anytime.
It will just require dish soap, a lint free cloth and some warm running water. Just wash your sunglasses thoroughly under running water, soap it all over and wash it to remove all the lather. Dab it dry with a lint free or microfiber cleaning cloth.
Make sure not to use any lotion based soap as it leaves a thin slippery coat which may fog up your vision, as well as no paper based wipes to avoid scratching of the lenses.
There are plenty of times when after a lot of use sunglasses start to feel not quite the same. They might not sit on the face right, feel slightly loose or feel irritated on the nose or ears. Don’t worry! As long as they are not completely damaged or broken, they can be fixed.
Tightening screws: Sunglasses have tiny screws which hold the top and bottom parts of the frame. These tend to get loosen over time. Therefore a periodic tightening is required with a small head screwdriver.
If the nose pads of the sunglasses have worn out and are biting in the skin then it’s time to replace them. Nose pads which are screw-in, snap on and slide in nose pads are available in the market, according to your sunnies frame requirement.
If the frame is made of plastic and feel uneven, then it’s difficult for it to be adjusted. But for metallic frames it’s easier. With just a soft cloth, needle nose pliers and a flat surface, you can adjust your frames just like you want them to be. Keep making incremental adjustments from the source of the bend till the tips of the frames rest evenly on the surface.
With these hacks of prevention, cleaning and adjusting you can easily keep your favorite sunglasses in pristine condition as long as they last!
It’s my first ever Pictorial DIY Project so please excuse the picture quality. My Project is a 1 sheet Mini Scrap Card. This can be easily made with less as well as inexpensive supplies. The supplies used are:
1 sheet (12×12 inches)
Decorative border punch (Optional)
Ribbons (Optional for decoration)
Score board and tool
Now, let’s get started .
First of all take the sheet of 12×12 inches (I have used a double sided pattern paper but you can use any colored sheet). Cut a strip of 4”x12” and keep it aside. (We will use this strip of paper as tags and decorations for the Mini Scrap Card).
We are now left with a piece of 8”x12” which will be further cut into 3 equal pieces of 4”x8”.
Out of these 3 pieces of 4”x8”, we will score 2 of them at 4” on the 8” side and for the 3rd piece we will score it at 4-1/8” and the on 4” on the 8” side.
Fold all the score lines and crease them with a bone folder to make crisp lines.
Now on 1 piece out of 2 identical pieces make a border with the border punch and on the 2nd piece make a border on half of it.
Now join these as shown in the pictures. And then paste it with the last piece which will now come as a pockets book.
And your single sheet scrap book is ready. Decorate as per your liking 🙂
Thank you for stopping by. Do share your work if you try this single sheet card and comment so i can read them.

Best Lipstick Shades For Summers – Collaboration with LADAADIDAHH
Hello my beauties 🙂
I hope all of you are doing well and are in the best of health. June as a month is very dear to me as this is the month in which I was born and I lay the foundation of B With Beauty Numz. A lot of memories and emotions are attached with this blog and i hope to be able to bring out the best piece of information towards you.
Since it is our birthday month 😀 , so I thought it will be best to come up with something new and the idea of a collaboration post, which already had a seed in my mind somewhere, took its roots and I brought it into existence. This type of posts, in particular, will give bloggers a chance to come close and learn more from our different ways of writing, exploring and mentoring products. For the readers, it will serve as a treat of two tastes in one 🙂 You can learn more by reading mixed reviews by two different people about the same product under one roof.
To begin the celebration and this new journey, my dear friend Filza Sadaf of Ladaadidahh left me overwhelmed by accepting my invitation for sharing her favorite lipstick shades for summer 2015 with us to contribute in this post. As per her, she herself loved the idea of a collaboration post and was just as excited as I was when the idea first popped in my mind. Now that makes two of us 😉
I am feeling honored being invited by “Bwithbeautynumz” for her first collab post. Sometimes back she discussed the idea of “collaboration section” which she wanted to introduce on her blog with me and invited me to collaborate with her for best summer lip shades. I was like hell Yesssss girl I am IN :D.
My Lips type: I have pretty dry lips; I must say very very dry and drenched lips. I keep moisten my lips all day long with balms and “Vaseline petroleum jelly” as I hate chapped lips. Lots of water drinking and continuous balm keep my lips hydrated and bring them almost in normal category. Here I should admit pulling matte lipsticks is simply not my cup of tea. 1.Nudes:
1.1. Maybelline Color Drama – Nude Perfection
These color drama pencils are simply love, being the dry lip person these are only pencil thing which I can wear easily. These are pigmented, creamy, long lasting. Application is as easy as they glides like charm and easily available in our local market on Maybelline kiosks. This particular shade is like lovvvveeeeeeeeee and classy. Price is from 750-800 PKR. 1.2. Medora – Viva glam
My love for Medora is ultimate. Medora comes in different categories like Mattes, semi-mattes and etc. But formula of every lipstick is not same, it is somewhat different even in the same category (am I the only one feeling this ?). Viva glam is very classy nude with hint of pink in it and luckily even being matte this isn’t drying at all, I felt hell comfortable while wearing it. And we all know that Medora is amazingly pigmented and long lasting. Price is 110 PKR
2.1. NYX Round Lipstick – Margarita
Nyx Round Lipsticks are pretty cream and moisturizing. Margarita is a frosty coral, and being frosty it might not be the business of girls with tanned complexion. I love these for their texture and in summers it looks awesome with white shirt. (You can read about it in detail on my blog here). Price is 850-900 PKR 2.2. Essence Long Lasting Lipsticks – Coral Calling
I mean who is the one who used any shade from this range and didn’t like it. Coral calling is very nice daily go to coral shade which you just pull from your stash and just wear it. I even use t without everyday evening walks. These are so moisturizing and have pretty shades in the range. Price is 430 PKR
3.1. Diana of London – Rambutan 22
This is a bright orange color (Which was quite IN last summer I don’t know much about this year). This is a perfect dupe of “WnW 24 Carrot Gold”, I owned both the shade but I found WnW over drying so I prefer this one over WnW one. Texture is thick, creamy and not drying (not very moistening as well). Staying power is pretty good and gives opaque payoff in single swipe. I seriously don’t know the price but this one is expensive than WnW one. So unlike me if you are friends with WnW lippies go for “24 Carrot Gold” 3.2. NYX Xtreme Lip Cream
I was SO NOT in this kind of bright shades, I always think these are just doesn’t go with my personality (I consider myself kind of light shade person). But somehow I dared to get it and man isn’t I loving it. It just makes my face glow. In start it appears glossy and with span of time gloss dies, in the end a beautiful stain left. Price is 850-950 PKR
And now here is my part of the best lipstick shades for Summer season 🙂 !! 1. Nudes:
To be honest, I am not a nude lip kinda girl so I don’t have those flesh/concealer type nudes in my collection. For the nudes i like some pink or peach undertones in my lipsticks. I must say Afghan Rose and Uptown girl both by MM Makeup are the names that jump into my mind when you ask me about nudes.
1.1 AFGHAN ROSE (MM Makeup Lip Varnish)
As the name indicates, this nude has bits of pink in it and it gives you that light color on the lips which is perfect for people like me who won’t go for the Brownish nudes. It is also a good nude shade for our Asian skin tone because it is a lip varnish. The formula is very creamy and as soft as butter in application. It retails for 650/- PKR.
1.2 UPTOWN GIRL (MM Makeup Lip Varnish)
This one is a peachy nude color having a good amount of sheen in it. It gives a flush of color to the lips. As this one, too, is a lip varnish. So, the formula is very creamy and as soft as butter in application. It retails for 650/- PKR. (co-incidentally)
I love the pinky lips. They make your face look full of life and add some extra amount of brightness to it. For me, the ones that do the job are; Antwerp by NXY SMLC and Rocket by Color pop.
2.1. ANTWERP (NYX Soft Matte Lip Cream)
The color is a bit towards the bright pink side. Having blue undertones to it, it gives you a perfect coral color to have for summers. It is best wearable in the summer time to have those cute baby pink lips. NYX Soft matte lip cream, when applied, gives you as a crème formula but dries out matte. However, it feels really light on the lips. This retails for 6$.
2.2. ROCKET (Colourpop Cosmetics)
This is a pinky coral color which is perfect for giving you that “ On the go” pop of color to the lips. This lipstick has a satin finish texture. It retails for 5$.
For that extra kick of color and to get those perfect bright lips, I choose Cherry Picking by Wet and Wild Mega Last Lipstick and Addis Ababa by NYX SMLC. They make me want to pout :*
3.1 CHERRY PICKING (Wet n Wild Mega Last Lipstick)
As the name suggests, the color is a bright pink with a good amount of red to it like a Red Fuchsia Pink. If you don’t like that signature red lip color, this shade will be perfect to give that brightness to your lips and also make your lips look fuller. The formula is Matte but it doesn’t dry the lips out and has good amount of moisture in it. This retails for 2$.
3.2. ADDIS ABABA (NYX Soft Matte Lip Cream)
It is a bright statement fuchsia color best for the summer season as it is a very wearable toned down bright pink. The fuchsia users might just fall in love with this one in first sight. NYX Soft matte lip cream apply as a cream formula but dries out matte. However, it feels really light on the lips. This retails for 6$.
We hope this joint venture was informative enough and does not leave any loopholes for us not wanting to do it again. Share your view on it in the comments section below. Happy Summer Season until we meet again on another blog post.
Lets energize ourselves with a great new launch, ‘ The occasional guest blog writing’. This is our first ever guest blog post, which i personally found very informative and i am sure everyone else would too:). So, cutting the suspense, I would like humbly welcome and thank our first guest writer Shigufta Khan from The Reluctant Cook and her delicious recipe to our blog. Now here, what I truly love about The Reluctant Cook is that all her recipes are really easily explained and most of the times she makes you realize that a particulate recipe, which you thought to be ridiculously difficult just by the name of it, turns out to be the easiest to make. 🙂
Do go and check her blog. She has shared some really good mind conquering recipes there and you can also get to know her by reading her about me section. Now, it time to jump into some yummy for the tummy cooking fun 🙂 !! The link to the blog: http://imareluctantcook.blogspot.co.uk/
Chicken & Spinach Curry (Palak Chicken)
This is a recipe I have borrowed from a friend who is a very good cook, Palak chicken is a very popular recipe served in nearly every Asian restaurant and takeaway. There are many versions of the recipe however I have found this one the quickest to make and its absolutely delicious.
Ingredients:1/2 Kilo boneless Chicken pieces (breast or thigh) Spinach 1/2 Kilo (fresh or tinned)Fresh coriander ( 1/2 bunch)3 green chillies ( more if you want extra hot)Ginger & Garlic paste 1 tsp eachRed chilli 1/2 tspSalt (to taste)Turmeric powder 1/2 tspCumin seeds 1tspOilMethod:
Blend the spinach, coriander, green chillies and all the spices excluding the cumin seeds in a food processor.
In hot oil add the cumin seeds when they start to sizzle add the washed chicken pieces. Fry for 10 mins then add the spinach and spices that have been blended. cover and cook on a low heat. The dish is cooked when the oil separates from the spinach.
Spinach tends to soak oil up so a little extra oil may need to be added whilst cooking to enhance the color of the dish. If you don’t wish to add extra oil that’s fine it will still taste delicious.
Palak Chicken can be eaten with naan bread or chappatti.
Hope you enjoy making this dish girls 🙂 i certainly love spinach and will try this out. All this food talking is making me hungry 😛 Leave a comment and let me know how you guys are finding this new Guest Blogging category. Hope to catch you soon with a new guest 🙂
